Help cancer patients get the emergency financial assistance they need.

When a cancer diagnosis comes, the last thing someone should be thinking about is how they will pay the bills or feed their family.

A cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and the cost of treatments or the loss of income due to cancer, can add additional strain.

At Christmas, this can be devastating.

It’s why your support is critical.

Your gift this Christmas will help people affected by cancer, who are experiencing financial hardship, to access emergency financial relief services—which will ease the stress during an incredibly difficult time of their lives.

For families in need, your gift will make Christmas possible this year.

Cancer Council NSW provides emergency financial assistance to people affected by cancer and experiencing acute financial disadvantage.

Assistance is provided in the form of bill payments for a range of eligible household expenses that don’t stop during treatment, or in the form of emergency food and fuel vouchers.

Our financial counsellors also provide practical advice to help people managing their personal budget and finances. They work with community organisations that assist people in financial difficulty, especially those on low incomes.

Now more than ever, your support is needed.

As the COVID-19 global pandemic took hold, we were forced to make the difficult decision to cancel most of our community fundraising events. Now, many of our support services, such as our emergency financial relief, is at risk.

This Christmas, hundreds of Australian families affected by cancer are facing extraordinary financial distress.

You can help provide them with urgently needed relief.

Please donate today and help ease the financial burden for people with cancer.

Cancer already takes so much away.

Please be generous this Christmas, and help take away the financial pressure too many people with cancer are facing.
