“She could never wrap her head around leaving her two babies behind…"

Dom and Louise were living their perfect life when Louise received a diagnosis of triple negative breast cancer that turned their lives upside down...

Will you donate today to help families like Dom's when they need it most?

Louise, or 'Lou', was diagnosed with cancer in June 2017, Evie their youngest was just four years of age and Noah five.

Lou had found a very small lump in her breast. Her doctor thought it was unlikely to be cancerous but sent her off for a scan and biopsy. For the second appointment, Lou asked Dom to come with her in case she was told bad news. It was then that the doctor said, “I’m very sorry to tell you, its’ cancer.”

Dom and Louise

Cancer doesn’t have any favourability; it is indiscriminate and can knock on anyone’s door without warning

She got really, really sick after four or five rounds of chemotherapy and was constantly being hospitalized.

It was halfway through 2018 and Lou was developing pain in her ribs.

They were told the cancer had spread to Lou's ribs and liver. The real cancer journey hadn’t even started. It was this day that they received a terminal diagnosis and survival was unlikely.
